Berkeley Lab’s Protocol Office partners with senior leaders, scientists, and staff to execute official visits and special events on behalf of the Lab Directorate. It is also the primary point of contact for representatives of United States and foreign government offices, academia, and industry leaders who visit the Lab.

The Protocol Office ensures that high-level visitors are well-informed about the Lab’s scientific research and national user facilities. The office arranges briefings and tours customized precisely to a delegation’s area of interest. This tailored attention, paired with Protocol’s expertise in navigating the Lab’s multi-disciplinary research landscape, fosters positive experiences and productive introductions to Berkeley Lab.
